3) I need to re-install WikMail, How can I activate my copy of WikMail?
When you purchase WikMail, you always receive an email your receipt and your serial number.
Install WikMail, from the main menu, choose "Activate WikMail key" and fill the requested fields with your registered user name, registered email address and your serial number.


4) I cannot succeed to validate my WikMail registration. What is wrong?
You must write your informations exactly as you receive then with your registration.
Take care of using of all characters (upper and lower) case.
You must write the registered email address you had submitted with your registration.
Verify if you have not make a typing error (Number "1" is different than the lowercase letter "l".
The best way to avoid error is to make a cut/paste from your registration receipt.


5) Where can I get support?

7) I am behind a Firewall/Proxy... How can I configure my mail account?
For Pop3 server (Incoming emails)...
  - "Pop Server" field, must contain your proxy.
  - "Login" field, must contain "your_login#your_pop_server"

For SMTP (Outgoing emails)...
Be sure that SMTP port 25 is opened to your computer. Some proxies can relay email directly; in this case you need to specify your SMTP server as the proxy address. (NOT your SMTP server address!) Each proxy or firewall setting varies case by case, you may need to consult your network administrator for details.


8) I use a dual screen setup. When I open the mail client, one screen is blanked out white.
WikMail uses a Flicker Free effect when the mail client is opened.
If you use a dual screen, you must disabled this effect.
Open the menu "Visual - Visual Settings" and uncheck the choice "Fast Display"


9) WikMail do not retrieve my messages. What is wrong?
Your mail account is not configured correctly.
Check if your user name and password are well typed.
The most current errors are typing errors. Carefully check the characters case.
Check the server addresses and port (normal is 110) of your ISP.
Do not use SSL/TLS and NTLMAuth parameters if not required by your ISP.


10) What is the meaning of "TimeOut" parameter in mail account settings?
When WikMail retrieve and/or send messages, it send various authorizations and informations to the mail server. For each authorization, WikMail is waiting for a reply from the server. In normal condition, these requests and replies are made very fast. However, sometime mail servers can be very busy and/or closed for maintenance. The "TimeOut" is a delay (in seconds) where Wikmail will wait for a reply from the server. At the delay expiration, WikMail will issue an error and disconnect from the server
A suggested delay should be 60 seconds. If the delay is too long, you will wait too much before WikMail disconnect from the server. And, if the delay is too short, WikMail will disconnect too fast and you will not receive your messages.
